In this episode, IndeDocs President Dr. Marcelo Hochman talks with Dr. Juliette Walker, owner of Paragon Pediatrics, about her experience operating a solo medical practice. Dr. Walker shares insight into the business structure, technology, and communication tools which allow her to minimize overhead and provide streamlined, concierge-style care to her patients.
Dr. Juliette Walker
Dr. Juliette Walker is a board-certified pediatrician whose zeal for science and medicine sprung forth in her youth while growing up in sunny South Florida. With an innate love and passion for children, she was certain that pediatrics was the specialty she wanted to pursue. After completing her pediatric residency training in NYC at Mount Sinai, Bronx Care, she established an affiliation with Weill-Cornell / New York Presbyterian Hospital as an Assistant Professor and worked in private practice throughout the NYC boroughs before relocating to South Carolina. She began her next role as a traditional pediatric attending at a community hospital and quickly took on the role as a preceptor for resident physicians and medical students from Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine. She later founded Paragon Pediatrics in order to fully realize her goal of providing meaningful, personalized care and optimizing the value in the doctor-patient relationship.
If you’re local to Charleston, you may bump into Dr. Walker while she enjoys the town with her husband and two children, but never without her asking about your kids first.
Dr. Marcelo Hochman
Dr. Marcelo Hochman, President of IndeDocs, is a double Board-certified head, neck, and facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, founder of Charleston’s Facial Surgery Center, and Past President of the Charleston County Medical Society.
